A bathroom remodel is the second most common renovation in Central Florida homes after the kitchen, and it’s the room where shortcuts show up fastest. Cheap waterproofing in Florida humidity leads to mold within five years. Big-box vanity boxes swell in two. The bathrooms we build in Winter Garden and across Central Florida are designed and constructed to outlast the home’s next owner, with custom vanities Mo builds in our workshop, tile and stone sourced directly from suppliers, and waterproofing that gets done right the first time.

Signs your bathroom is ready for a remodel.

Most of our bathroom clients aren’t dealing with a single emergency. They’re dealing with a list of small frustrations that have stacked up over years. Here are the signs we hear most often during consultations:

Grout that won’t come clean no matter how much you scrub, and tile that’s starting to lift or crack

A vanity from the original build that’s swollen, warped, or visibly tired from years of humidity

A tub you never use that’s taking up half the floor space you actually need

A shower that leaks behind the wall, into the floor, or onto the floor every time you use it

Cramped layouts, single sinks where you need doubles, or storage that doesn’t fit what you own

Aging parents moving in, or you’re planning to age in this home and the bathroom isn’t going to work in 15 years

What sets our bathroom remodels apart.

A bathroom is one of the few rooms in your house where the quality of work matters as much underneath the finishes as it does on top. Most contractors focus on what you’ll see, tile, glass, fixtures, and underspend on what you won’t see: substrate, waterproofing, framing, and the prep work that determines how long the finished work lasts.

We do it the opposite way. Mo builds every custom vanity in our workshop from real wood, with finishes selected for Florida humidity. We use proper waterproofing membranes behind tile work, not just thinset and grout. We source tile and stone directly from suppliers, which gives us a wider material selection at competitive prices compared to the showroom route. Mo is on your job site through demo, framing, plumbing rough-in, and finish work.

A typical bathroom remodel with us moves through five phases:

01

Design consultation

Mo walks the bathroom with you, listens to how you actually use it, and explores layout options. Single vs. double vanity, walk-in shower vs. tub-shower combo, accessibility considerations, storage needs. Budget and timeline discussed honestly upfront.

02

Material selection & vanity build

We help you select tile, stone, hardware, glass, and fixtures from our direct supplier network. While selections are being finalized, Mo begins building the custom vanity in-house. This parallel work is where the in-house fabrication advantage shows up most clearly.

03

Permitting & demo

We pull all required permits in our name. Bathroom remodels with plumbing or electrical changes require permits in the City of Winter Garden, Orange County, and most surrounding jurisdictions. Demo begins once permits are in hand.

04

Construction & install

Framing changes, plumbing rough-in, electrical rough-in, waterproofing membrane installation, tile work, vanity installation, glass shower installation, fixture install, paint. All coordinated by Mo with one team so you’re not managing competing subcontractors.

05

Final walkthrough & warranty

We walk the finished bathroom with you before we consider the job closed. Every bathroom we complete is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty. If something isn’t right, we fix it.

Bathroom remodeling in Winter Garden & Central Florida.

We’re based in Winter Garden and do most of our bathroom work in the West Orange County corridor: Windermere, Ocoee, Horizon West, Dr. Phillips, and Orlando. We also regularly work in Winter Park, Maitland, Clermont, and Apopka.

Florida humidity is the variable that separates a bathroom that lasts 20 years from one that needs replacement in 7. Cheap MDF vanity boxes swell. Tile installed without proper waterproofing membranes lets water through to substrate and framing. Cabinet finishes designed for dry climates fail in Florida bathrooms within a few seasons. We build and specify accordingly.

Permitting in Orange County and the City of Winter Garden follow different timelines for bathroom work, especially when plumbing or electrical changes are involved. We’ve pulled permits in both jurisdictions many times.

Mo builds every custom vanity we install. Not a subcontracted millworker. Not a pre-built box from a big-box store. If you want to see what that looks like before committing, ask us for references.

What does a bathroom remodel cost in Winter Garden?

We don’t publish price lists because bathroom remodels vary too much by scope, materials, and existing conditions to quote accurately without seeing the bathroom.

We use fixed-price contracts, not time and materials. You’ll know the full project cost before work begins, and we won’t come back with a change order because something took longer than we estimated.

The best way to get an honest number is to schedule a consultation. Mo will walk your bathroom, understand the scope, and give you a realistic budget range.

Common Questions

Questions about bathroom remodeling in Central Florida.

A typical bathroom remodel with us runs 4 to 7 weeks from demolition to final walkthrough. The range depends on scope (powder room vs. primary suite), material lead times (custom glass shower enclosures can take 3 to 4 weeks to template and fabricate), and permit timing in your municipality. We give you a realistic timeline during the consultation, not an optimistic one.
If it’s the only bathroom in the home, the answer is no for most of the build. If you have other bathrooms in the house, only the one being remodeled is offline. We discuss scheduling during planning so you know exactly when each fixture goes out of service.
Custom vanities are built to your exact bathroom dimensions, which eliminates the filler strips and odd-sized gaps that store-bought vanities require. Mo builds ours from real wood with soft-close drawers, finishes that hold up to Florida humidity, and integrated storage designed around what you actually keep in the bathroom. The lifespan in Florida is significantly longer.
Yes, when the conversion involves plumbing changes (which most do). Tub-to-shower conversions also typically require electrical work for new lighting and ventilation. We pull all required permits in our name and manage the inspection schedule.
Yes, but it requires doing it right at the substrate level, not just sealing the grout. We use proper waterproofing membranes (Schluter, RedGard, or similar) behind tile work, not just thinset adhesive. Done correctly, the shower stays dry for decades. Done incorrectly, the membrane fails within a few years and you’re paying for the remodel twice.
