Mo St. Cyr has been building custom cabinetry by hand since before the company was a company. It’s the core of what we do — and the reason most of our clients find us in the first place. Every cabinet that leaves our Winter Garden shop is built from solid wood and plywood, fitted to the exact dimensions of the space, and finished to last in Florida’s humidity. No flat-packs. No catalog orders. No outsourced millwork.
We build cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, closets, home offices, laundry rooms, garages, and commercial spaces. Same process, same materials, same standard across every project.
What makes our cabinetry different.
Most cabinetry installed in Central Florida homes comes from one of three sources: big-box store flat-packs, semi-custom catalog orders from a cabinet dealer, or factory boxes installed by a third-party crew. All three share the same weakness — they’re designed to a standard size, not your space.
We build to your space. Every box is sized to the exact dimensions of the room, which eliminates the filler strips, odd gaps, and visual compromises that catalog cabinetry requires. The construction method matters too:
- Plywood box construction — not particleboard or MDF. Plywood holds screws, resists moisture, and doesn’t swell in Florida humidity the way cheaper substrate materials do
- Solid wood face frames and doors — built from the species and profile you choose, not whatever the catalog offers this season
- Dovetail drawer boxes — hand-cut or machine-cut dovetail joints that outlast the stapled drawer boxes standard in semi-custom cabinetry
- Soft-close hardware throughout — Blum and equivalent hardware, not budget hinges and slides
- Site-built and fitted — installed by the same craftsmen who built the boxes, not a separate installation crew who’s never seen the shop work
Where we build custom cabinetry.
We build cabinetry for every room in the house — and for commercial spaces too:
- Kitchen cabinetry — full kitchen cabinet packages including uppers, lowers, islands, and pantry towers. Built to fit the kitchen, not adapted to it
- Bathroom vanities — single, double, and floating vanity builds with integrated storage, stone tops, and custom sizing for non-standard bathroom layouts
- Closet systems — reach-in and walk-in closet cabinetry with hanging sections, drawer towers, shelving, and built-in organization. Built from the same materials as our kitchen work, not wire shelving or flat-pack closet kits
- Home office built-ins — desk walls, bookcase walls, file storage, and credenzas built into the architecture of the room
- Laundry room cabinetry — upper and lower cabinets, folding counters, and utility storage designed around the specific dimensions and plumbing layout of your laundry room
- Garage cabinetry — workbenches, wall cabinet systems, and overhead storage built from materials rated for temperature variation and humidity
- Entertainment and built-in walls — TV walls, bookcase surrounds, fireplace built-ins, and full wall unit systems
- Commercial cabinetry — office built-ins, retail millwork, medical and dental cabinetry, and break room cabinetry for commercial build-outs
The custom cabinetry process.
Our process is designed to eliminate the surprises that come with ordering cabinetry sight-unseen from a catalog:
- Consultation and measurement — Mo walks the space with you, takes precise field measurements, and discusses layout options, door styles, finishes, and hardware. Nothing gets built until the measurements are confirmed in the actual room
- Design and pricing — we produce a layout drawing and a fixed-price quote. No ranges, no allowances, no add-ons at installation. The price you approve is the price you pay
- Build — boxes are built in our Winter Garden shop while the job site is being prepared. Lead time is typically 3–6 weeks depending on scope and schedule
- Installation — the same craftsmen who built the cabinetry install it. They know every box, every quirk in the fit, and every detail that needs to be right on site
- Countertops and hardware — if your project includes countertops, we template after installation and coordinate the stone fabrication and installation so you’re not managing a separate vendor
Custom cabinetry in Winter Garden & Central Florida.
Our shop is in Winter Garden. We install throughout the surrounding area: Ocoee, Windermere, Orlando, Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, Clermont, Apopka, Horizon West, and across Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties.
Florida’s climate is the reason construction-grade particleboard and MDF cabinetry fails faster here than anywhere else. High ambient humidity, seasonal temperature swings, and the moisture load specific to Florida kitchens and bathrooms is hard on cheap substrate materials. We specify and build accordingly — plywood boxes, solid wood components, and finishes rated for the environment they’ll live in.
Most of our cabinetry work is paired with a kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation, or whole-home project. We also take standalone cabinetry commissions — closets, home offices, garages, and commercial spaces where you just need the cabinetry built and installed without a full renovation scope attached.
What does custom cabinetry cost in Winter Garden?
Custom cabinetry costs more than semi-custom or stock. It’s worth understanding why, and when the difference matters.
A full kitchen cabinet package in custom solid wood and plywood construction typically runs $15,000–$45,000 installed, depending on kitchen size, door style, finish, and hardware selection. Bathroom vanities start around $2,500–$6,000 for a single custom vanity, more for doubles and specialty configurations.
The cost difference versus semi-custom cabinets is real. What you’re buying is:
- Cabinets that fit the exact dimensions of your space, with no filler strips or compromised layout
- Plywood and solid wood construction that outlasts particleboard in Florida’s climate by a significant margin
- A 1-year workmanship warranty from the people who built and installed them
- A fixed price — no change orders, no surprises at installation
We provide detailed, itemized estimates after the consultation. No ballpark numbers — a real number based on the actual scope of your project.

Common Questions
Questions about custom cabinetry in Central Florida.
Build time for custom cabinetry is typically 3–6 weeks from approved design to delivery at the job site, depending on scope and our current shop schedule. Installation adds 1–3 days for most kitchen packages, less for smaller projects. We give you a realistic timeline during the consultation — not an optimistic one — so you can plan accordingly.

We build in maple, oak, cherry, alder, poplar, and other species depending on your door style, finish, and budget. Maple is the most common choice for painted finishes — it’s smooth, stable, and takes paint cleanly. For stained finishes, oak and cherry are popular. We’ll walk through the options during the consultation and make a recommendation based on what you’re trying to achieve.

In most cases, yes. We can match door profiles, species, stain colors, and finish sheen on additions to existing cabinetry. Exact matches depend on the original cabinet species and finish condition, but we’ll assess the existing work during the consultation and tell you honestly what’s achievable before you commit to anything.

We coordinate countertop fabrication and installation as part of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry projects. We template after the cabinetry is installed, work with our stone fabricators, and manage the installation so you’re not tracking a separate vendor. Quartz, granite, quartzite, and marble are all available through our supplier network.

Yes. We build cabinetry for commercial office build-outs, medical and dental offices, retail spaces, and break rooms. Commercial cabinetry is scoped and priced the same way as residential work — fixed-price contract, built in our shop, installed by our crew. See our commercial services page for more on the full scope of commercial work we do.
